In my heart… (handbell composition)

This lovely, original work by Haruto Katayama is centered around a main theme and the composer explains, “…the music unfolds like a film soundtrack, where scenes quietly emerge, shift, and fade away.” It is lyrical with an engaging melody and creative progressions and developments that will truly speak to the heart of ringers and audience alike. It is Rung throughout with nicely placed LV phrases and includes dynamic expressions such as flowing, misterioso, tranquillo, and freely. Tempo is q=73 with a variety of nuanced tempo changes including meno mosso, accel., and ritardando.

Haruto wrote: “I hope both performers and listeners will find their own ‘scenery’ and ‘story’ breathing softly within this music, and that the piece will grow into something cherished for years to come.”

作曲家・片山 温仁によるこの愛らしく独創的な作品は、一つのメインテーマを中心に据えて展開されます。作曲家自身が『まるで映画のサウンドトラックのように、情景が静かに現れ、移ろい、そして消えていくように音楽が広がります』と語る通り、叙情的な旋律と、創意に満ちた進行や展開が、奏者と聴衆の両方の心に深く語りかけるでしょう。
全編を通してリング（Ring）で演奏され、随所に配置されたLV（レット・ビブラート）のフレーズが効果的に響きます。また、『Flowing（流れるように）』『Misterioso（神秘的に）』『Tranquillo（静かに）』『Freely（自由に）』といった多彩な強弱・発想記号が盛り込まれています。テンポは四分音符＝73を基準とし、Meno mosso（今までより遅く）、Accel.（次第に速く）、Ritardando（次第に遅く）など、ニュアンス豊かなテンポの変化が取り入れられています。
片山さんは次のような言葉を寄せています。
『演奏する方にも、聴いてくださる方にも、それぞれの心にそっと息づく”風景”と”物語”に寄り添いながら、長く愛される一曲になれば幸いです。』
